Is it weird that I actually enjoy black friday?
My first day of working alone as a cashier was that day. xD I’ve been there for three years ever since, so I feel a little nostalgic. It’s the one day where my shift goes by in half a second because we can be so busy. I don’t work copy center though, register is where it’s at.I’ve never worked black friday! Everyone at work tells me it’s fun though. I’m kind of nervous though, because my senior tech told me that I’d probably just be on register, but my back gets super sore from being on register for more than an hour. I really just don’t want to be up that early. I live an hour from my store so if my shift’s at 5 AM I have to be up at 3:30 AM at the latest, really. Bleh.
Worked at Best Buy for Black Friday in 09, surprisingly I enjoyed it. Other than having to excuse myself from Thanksgiving dinner to sleep then getting up at 3 in the morning, manning a certain area and simply making sure people moved along to where they needed to be was pretty easy, for the employees it was a fun time and we got a bunch of free food and merchandise.
