Oh, well, who’s that fellow in the back drumming for Cage the Elephant while Jared Champion recovers from emergency surgery? Oh right, that’s Dave Motherfucking Grohl.
Dave became friends with Cage the Elephant last year at the KROQ Weenie Roast, and afterwards asked them to open for the Foo Fighters’ tour supporting Wasting Light. When news got around that Jared Champion had to have his appendix removed Dave offered to fill in for a few shows while he recovered, obviously because he still wanted the band to be able to go up and perform.
Why is Dave Grohl one of the greatest human beings on planet Earth? I haven’t figured that out yet.
